Meet the Homes by Baker Builders Team:
A.P. Baker, Vice President and Builder of Homes by Baker Builders, LLC, visits your homebuilding site daily to supervise progress on the home. Even though Homes by Baker Builders’ on–site supervisor will work closely with you, A.P. thinks having direct access to the builder himself throughout the process is important. He remains available to answer any of your questions even after you’ve moved into your home.
With a bachelor’s degree in business administration and extensive experience in the building industry, A.P. and his wife, Lisa, founded Homes by Baker Builders. Taking on an active role in his industry is important to A.P. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Vance–Granville Home Builders Association (HBA) and is currently the organization’s vice president. In 2010, A.P will proudly serve as the HBA’s president. While not working, A.P. spends lots of time with his daughter Payton and son Price, coaches little league baseball and Pop Warner football and is an elder at his church.

Lisa Baker, President of Homes by Baker Builders, LLC, has been instrumental in the company since its inception. For years, Lisa was in charge of everything from interior design to administration and management of each homebuilding project. Because of the growth of the company as well as the desire to be able to spend more time with Payton and Price, Homes by Baker Builders hired an interior designer and office manager. Lisa remains involved with the business, and also serves as the children’s ministry coordinator at her church.

Wendy Duncan, Office Manager of Homes by Baker Builders, LLC, helps homebuyers with all their administrative needs. From coordinating communication between homebuilder and buyer to bookkeeping, Wendy is a go–to person for any question you may have along the way.
Like other Homes by Baker Builders team members, Wendy loves being involved in the process of building homes. Through her experience working with the company, Wendy has enjoyed learning about all the fine details and decisions that culminate into a home.

Leigh Appleby, Interior Designer for Homes by Baker Builders, LLC, has been a design consultant on speculative and custom homes for almost ten years. Leigh carefully makes choices that ensure each home’s unique character shows through in ways that will support and enhance its owners’ daily life.
For each homebuilding project, Leigh imagines what most people would like to have. She determines which hot items customers can’t live without in speculative homes, and suggests products and features that will meet customers’ lifestyles in custom homes.
The first step in working with custom home buyers is to listen to them and see their new home as they envision it. Based on their lifestyle and needs, Leigh is able to provide guidance to the homebuyers while they plan for their new home. Not only does Leigh help homebuyers decide on appliances and products like cabinets, she assists them in selecting interior and exterior colors, textures, plumbing and lighting choices, hardwoods or other flooring and hardware.
